Subnet currently provides linux/unix shells. There is a free
account you can obtain however, it is very limited. Upgrading your account will allow you to run basically anything
you need to be hosted IE. eggdrops, web, ssh-ftp, bnc, and much more... Any thing can be arranged.
Shells
A basic shell given (the free ones) are
menu driven and allow you to only basic functions... IRC access is allowed from there.
Background Processes
Typically there is no limit on what you run so long
as it does not use excessive
bandwidth, CPU usage, or memory.
Hosting
There is an array of hosting options that are offered.

SUBNet is a network made up of a handful of linux
servers. All users are allowed to IRC on any network. Currently there is only ONE ip per box. Yes, only one. However
more ip's will be added at some point.
